Lately I’ve stumbled on reports of an upcoming app which I believe is destined to change the lives of people across the world. Keep reading the Htet Tayza blog to find out about the new app every health enthusiast has got to have.
Life is so much better when it’s set to music
I’m a huge fan of jogging. It’s great for your health. It can help you lose weight, strengthen your muscles, develop your endurance and so much more. I believe that everyone should run.
But it’s so repetitive. That’s why a lot of people prefer to listen to music when they go jogging. Music provides a distraction and a motivation to do better all in one stroke. If you don’t believe me, think of that infamous scene in Rocky where Sylvester Stallone runs up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the Rocky theme song and you’ll see what I mean.
Adidas and Spotify announce Go app
Well now Adidas has taken this idea and ran with it. Reports suggest that the company have teamed up with Spotify to create a new app that syncs your Spotify playlist to your run.
The app is called Go and is now available for iOS as a free download from the Apple store. It’s quite amazing really. The app capitalises on the iPhones’ accelerometer to match music to the pace of a runner’s workout routine. In other words it uses the accelerometer to calculate the runners pace and automatically select tunes that match the beats to the per minute ratio it calculates.
What does this mean for runners?
I believe that this could benefit runners across the world. This app is basically a DJ for your run. Joggers will no longer have to fumble around in their pockets and slow down every time their phone moves onto a slow song. Now, they’ll be able to keep pace as the Go app will select songs that are appropriate for their fitness regime, which will allow them to utilise exercise more effectively keep their minds and their bodies healthy.
